As we focus on the theme of sustainability, I would like to acknowledge that Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji announced India's ambitious target of achieving net-zero emissions by 2070 during COP26. This is a significant milestone that demonstrates India's commitment to tackling climate change and promoting sustainable growth, a national goal that aligns with the global efforts to reduce the impact of climate change. I’m proud to share that BPCL is committed to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040 (Scope 1 & Scope 2), and we are actively working towards this goal.

As a refinery that has been at the forefront of innovation and progress, we are excited to have this opportunity to showcase our commitment to sustainability, safety, and social responsibility. Over the years, we have made significant strides in reducing our carbon footprint through energy efficiency improvement and investing in cleaner and greener technologies. In line with this, we are proud to declare that our company is making significant investments in Solar and Wind Energy, Green Hydrogen and EV corridor. These investments signify our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint, promoting sustainable growth, and supporting the global efforts towards emissions reduction.

As the forum provides great opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss the latest trends & innovations, and shape the future of our industry, we are particularly looking forward to listening to and witnessing, how the global peers been able to reduce their carbon footprint, improve efficiency, and invest in cleaner and greener technologies that we can pursue on. This I believe is the sole essence of this excellent platform, to learn from each other, share our experiences, and explore new opportunities for collaboration and growth!
